Step 1: Order Details
Make of Outboard:
What brand of motor do you own?
Horse Power (HP):
Type in the size of your motor e.g. 18 or 200 etc.
Don't put HP just numbers only.
2 or 4 Stroke:
If you mix oil into the fuel directly or if you have an oil tank that you place "special" 2 stroke oil in on your motor or a pre mix reservoir on the boat or motor, then your motor is a 2 stroke. 4 stroke outboards are like cars you only ever use unleaded petrol.
Cover/s Required:
Combo is both the cowling cover (Splash Cover) & then a separate full cover. The Splash cover goes on 1st then the full cover over the top of that (2 pieces) providing double protection on the cowl.
Full Cover is only the full cover, does not have a cowling cover (Splash Cover) that you can run motor with. Yes the full cover is joined in the middle with Velcro but this is only to suit the various leg sizes for that motor...you should never separate the full cover.
Splash Cover only is the cowling cover that you can run the motor with it on. It has special air vents to allow the motor to run.
Quantity:
How many of the same cover do you want? If you want 2 covers but different motor sizes etc, see "ADD ITEM" at the bottom of the page.
Price
The total price of the cover/s so far as specified by you above.
Do you require printing on your cover/s?
I do not require printing= Nothing at all to be printed on my covers
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes manufacturers logos= A box will appear offering you ONLY the brands we can print. Remember that all brands are trademarked liked e.g. McDonalds, Coca Cola & Kleenex & if your brand is not listed see why by clicking on the Conditions Apply link on the actual order form. If you have selected a brand that is in the list as per our terms & conditions you will need to either provide us with a dealers name that has the licence to use that brand (trademark) or any dealer within your State that sells that brand of motor. The reason is we have permission from the licensed dealership to use the brand on the proviso they get their name on the cover. The brand is printed in full size e.g. 300L x 70mm H) but the dealers name is printed under the brand logo is only about 7mm high and says "Distributed by _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Marine".
Your preferred dealership should be placed in the blank box provided under the brands.
I have read and understood the terms and conditions has to be ticked so we know YOU understand what we have stated above.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes other name = Might be the name of your boat or the a name you might like printed on the cover other than the brand. Two boxes will appear:
Name:
DONT put Yamaha/Mercury or Mariner
This is where you type the name you want also type it as you want it printed on the cover. As example the above text in the box will be printed with "quotation marks" & two separate words & the first letters of each word capitalised. You can also specify a font you may want in the box below:
Font:
Specify font you require? Leave blank for our standard (Impact). Impact is a nice all round font with italic slant on it & looks like this. " Mackie Mauler "
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes a picture =
If you would like a picture you have in digital form (able to be sent by e-mail) & is of good quality (fits onto a A4 without blurring) then you can have it printed on your cover. We get many covers with a picture of a Barramundi or a sailfish, we can print them in either black OR white (depending on the colour of your cover) or in full colour so what you see is what you will get. This information is asked shortly in the order form.
Print on what covers?
What cover do you want the printing going on too? Some clients may only want the brand logo or name or picture on one cover. As an example I might want the name "Macki Mauler" printed but really only want it on the Splash cover not the full cover, hence this option.
Print Colour Type?
If you are printing just words such as your boat name etc, we would recommend black OR white printing. Based on that we do the following: If you are going to select the Red or Light grey as your main colour of the cover we will print in black! All other main colours get printed in white. Colour Printing is really only used when you have a picture that you want to show off FULL COLOUR. Regardless of the main colour of your cover we will print in full colour. As an example if your picture has a black border around it & your outboard cover is black we will put a 2mm white border around your picture so it stands out and does not get lost in the covers colour. Delivery Method:
Toll/Ipec Couriers= Hand delivered to your door, but requires a signature. Good if you know you are going to be there! Toll/Ipec won't call you on delivery & we cannot tell you when the package will arrive. Great VERY fast service (normally overnight from when we send it) but someone must be at the address to sign for it. Cost is $12 but you cannot use this service if you live in the NT or want it sent to a Po. Box. We can get the largest Combo or 2 Splashes into a Toll/Ipec 3kg bag.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Australia Post Express Bag = Ideal way to have your cover/s delivered if you live in the NT or want it delivered to a Po .Box. They are sent in a "Super Sized 3kg Express Bag" We can normally get the largest Combo or 2 Splashes into one 3kg bag & the price is only $16. Delivered is usually within 2 days of us sending it & does not require a signature but will require someone to hand the item to. Aust. Post if no one is at the address will leave a card in the letter box & they will tell you where to collect the item.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Local or International Delivered 7 days DHL = FAST TRACK service for those that want it ASAP. How it works is your cover is made outside of working hours by our contract staff (this way it does not jump the queue of other work) & shipped within 24hrs & dispatched either with DHL (overseas) or Toll/Ipec (Australia) overnight service. Most orders will be delivered within Australia in 3 days & overseas normally in 7 days anywhere in the World. Great service & goods are provided with a tracking number to follow on the internet, but very expensive & we can only g/tee that your cover/s will be made within 24hrs, we cannot g/tee the couriers. Clients are responsible for any taxes outside of Australia (import duties, customs taxes etc).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- International Orders (Standard Airmail)= As it sounds if you live outside of Australia standard delivery to your door is this option. All covers are sent airmail & delivery is usually 3 weeks, but on some occasions it may be a week longer depending on customs etc. If ordering more than one cover you will be charged postage for each item. Combo = 1 item, Splash = 1 item, Full = 1 Item (E.G. if you order 2 Splash's you will be charged 2 lots of freight due to the weight allowance). Clients are responsible for any taxes such as import duties, local taxes etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pick up (Factory is 8km from Perth City) = You can pick up your cover/s from our factory which is located at U2-321 Gt. Eastern Hwy, Redcliffe Wa 6104. We are opposite Skipper trucks & located next door to the Formula 1 motel on the right side & the Stihl lawn mower/chain saw shop (has mowers parked on verge) on the left on the airport side of Gt. Eastern Hwy.
Total Price:
This will show you the total price of your cover including the different options listed above such as printing/delivery etc.
If a full or combo order only, have you fitted a non standard fin on cav plate?
If you are ordering ONLY a Splash cover this option will not appear as it is not relevant. Have you fitted any fins/trim tab or anything NON standard to the cavitation plate (the fin directly above the prop)? If so what have you fitted?? This offers a couple of the most popular options. If you fin is a permatrim or any of these listed we have already made a template to suit you motor/cover. If you are not sure select other and we will call you & get you to measure certain points of your fin.
Motor Series if known*:
Many motor have fancy names associated with them, such as Verado, Optimax for Merc/Mariner motors or CV or Saltwater Series or the latest addition such as HPDI or HPDI Vmax for Yamaha's. Johnson have used terms like Ocean Runner or Ocean Pro & Evinrude such terms as E-Tec & FICH RAM injection. Honda have the V-Tec and Tohatsu have a series call LPDI (Low Pressure Direct Injection). These are the sort of hints we are looking for and the more info you can provide the better for us. If you are unsure the best way is to provide us a model number (not serial number).
Mercury/Mariners usually start with M then the horsepower then some letters like M200XLPTO or 90ELPTO. On the small motors (50hp down) we will need to know the place of manufacturer (USA/Belgium/Japan) as they re-badge a Tohatsu motor as a Mercury or Mariner. This is near the ID badge just on the top of the leg trunk and right hand side from the rear of the motor. Click here for more details.
Honda will not tell us much but the range is very easy to determine. The only thing with Honda is they don't normally print the leg size in the code as with other brands, so you will need to measure the motor overall height from side on, including the skeg or click here for more details.
Yamaha always have a number like 130 beto or 130 deto (130 being the horse power) or 30NMH (30 being the HP). Directly under the HP number is a lone letter which is the leg size & can be S or L or XL or U or UL. Click here for more details.
Tohatsu are pretty standard except for a couple of exceptions but getting us the letters and numbers will help. Click here for more.
Suzuki will not tell us much but the range is very easy to determine. The only thing with Suzuki is they don't normally print the leg size in the code as with other brands, so you will need to measure the motor overall height from side on including the skeg or click here for more details.
Johnson/Evinrude regardless all we need is the model number which is normally a series of numbers and then letters. It may start with either an E (Evinrude) or a J (Johnson) or AJ or AE but the 1st letter can vary then your HP then a heap of letters after that something like AE115EXSCD in this case the motor is a 115hp. Click here for more details.
Year of Manufacturer:
Pretty self explanatory but if you are unsure please take a guess & provide us with the MODEL number as listed above. Most brands print the year on the ID plate.
Trim & Tilt?
Trim and/or Tilt (T & T)= An outboard has a thing called Trim & Tilt which is the method of lifting the motor up & down. If you have to lift the motor up by hand you have manual T & T and we will leave a hole for you to get your hand into the top of the cowling.
If you have electric T & T then we will NOT leave a hole in the intake or lift point on the cowling cover but put a "mesh" piece (like fly screen) in so the motor can still get air vital for operation.
Does your motor have a pull start?
People tend to get this confused with the "EMERGENCY" pull start under the cowling. We need to know if your motor has a physical pull start coming out of a hole in the cowling. The reason being is we will leave a hole for a Splash Cover if it does so you can pull start it and also the motor will be slightly taller than the non pull start models because of the pull start recoil housing. Some motors have both, but don't get confused "Does it have a pull start coming out of a hole in the cowling?" YES or NO?
If you are having either a full or combo cover this option will be offered. What we need to know is the leg length of your motor as we make your cover to fit exactly so please be sure. The difference between a long & a short leg is 130mm so we need to get it right! If unsure please click here for more info.
If you measure the height of the motor total as outlined, then in the box left take a guess at the leg size (L, XL etc). You must enter something or the form will generate an error. BUT then put the height in CM in the box provided.
This section is the main colour of your cover. It can be the only colour you select for your cover. If you are unsure of where the main colour appears then Click here.
This is were you can (OPTIONAL) select the secondary colour of your cover. Click here if unsure were this colour goes.
